**December 15, 2021-IMPORTANT UPDATE-PLEASE READ**
San Diego Unified is upgrading SmartFind Express, its Substitute Assignment Management System (SAMS), to offer a better user experience. The SAMS system has been redesigned with a streamlined, user-friendly new substitute homepage. As a part of this upgrade, we will be enabling Single Sign On functionality, which requires staff to log-in to the application using their employee ID and district password, rather than using a separate PIN
There is also a new SAMS URL: https://sdusd.sfe.powerschool.com/logOnInitAction.do
As a part of this upgrade, the SAMS system will be temporarily unavailable beginning December 17, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. until the morning of December 20, 2021. Thank you!
**Reminder on the COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate!**
On September 28, 2021 the Board of Education Trustees voted unanimously to require eligible students and all District employees, partners, contractors and other adults who work directly with students and district employees on district property to be fully-vaccinated on or before December 20, 2021.
The health and safety of our students and employees is paramount, therefore, this mandate is a condition of employment for employees; the District may take disciplinary action, up to and including termination for employees who do not comply with this mandate.
The information below is provided to assist you in becoming compliant with the above Board action.
Where can I get vaccinated?
Vaccinations are available through your medical provider, https://myturn.ca.gov , https://211sandiego.org/ or by calling 833-422-4255 or 211.
Additionally, the district has partnered with UC San Diego to offer opportunities to conveniently get your COVID-19 vaccination at a school site or district office near you.
The UCSD Vaccine Van, a mobile vaccination unit offering free COVID-19 vaccines, does not require appointments, just walk in at your convenience. Supervisors should allow time for any staff member who is in need of a COVID vaccine to do so. All vaccines are available: first dose, second dose and booster shots; Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson.
How do I submit my proof of vaccination?
If you are vaccinated but have not submitted your proof or you are getting your vaccination, please do not wait to submit your vaccination proof - do it ASAP.
Options for submitting your proof of vaccination:
Find the PeopleSoft Self Service Job Aid for COVID-19 Vaccination to upload the documentation yourself.
Email a picture of your vaccination card with your employee ID number to DeAnna Roberts, firstname.lastname@example.org and your card will be uploaded.
Email DeAnna Roberts, email@example.com, granting consent to the district to review the San Diego County Immunization Registry and/or the California Immunization Registry for the sole purpose of confirming that you have received the COVID-19 vaccination
